Postoperative Instructions
The success of your eye operation depends on a careful postoperative routine. The following suggestions will help to simplify your postoperative course and ensure the most successful result for your eye.
Precautions
1. Always protect your recently operated eye by wearing the glasses or the eye shield provided. You need to wear the shield to bed for at least 1 week after small incision cataract surgery or pterygium surgery; 3 weeks after planned extracapsular cataract surgery, glaucoma, retinal, or corneal transplant surgery; or for 3 days after laser refractive surgery such as laser in-situ keratomileusis (LASIK) or photorefractive keratectomy (PRK).
