Pollybeak deformity, nose encased in silicone granulomas
History
This 43-year-old woman had undergone three previous rhinoplasties as well as silicone injections into the nose. Following a dental infection, her nose began to swell and exhibit granulomatous changes. The patient then underwent multiple steroid injections without improvement. She complained of right nasal obstruction and constant facial pressure (Fig. 13.1A–H).

Analysis of Preoperative Photos
The tip is amorphous, wide, and has a classic pollybeak deformity. The alae and sidewalls are swollen from the granulomatous reaction to the silicone; this is worse on the right side. There is obstruction of the external nasal valve on the right.
