The reader who has gone through the different chapters of this book has been able to confirm how improvements in genomics, proteomics, etiopathology, epidemiology, diagnostics, and therapy have improved our knowledge about keratoconus, jointly with a capability for early diagnosis which has indeed made keratoconus a more frequent disease because we can diagnose it properly. Most probably, this is just the beginning of a scientific and technical trend that will be further developed for a better understanding and treatment of keratoconus.
