I write concerning the recently published, admirably comprehensive, and valuable review and meta-analysis of publications about the association between blood pressure and open-angle glaucoma. Our very early paper is missing from these authors’ remarkably extensive lists of references, yet “there was no restriction…on publication dates.” Our investigations had the merit of carefully selected controls, and also listed the very few authors of the extremely sparse previous mentions of the subject, as far as our careful search could detect at that time.

I hope this present letter will prevent the “loss” from the literature of our account of our early work, even if, or indeed especially if, our publication did not meet any of these authors’/other inclusion criteria.
